Snowbird resort is a year-round ski and summer resort located in the heart of the Wasatch National Forest on the eastern border of the Salt Lake City suburb of Sandy. It receives more than 500 inches (1,270 cm) of snowfall per year, due to lake-effect enhancement from the Great Salt Lake, making it the second snowiest ski area in the United States.

HOUSING
Yes, but living in employee housing is not mandatory. Dormitory style housing will be offered in for Cliff Lodge in the Cliff Club rooms. We have designated a floor of rooms to J1 Visa students. Two bedrooms will share one kitchen/living area. The bedrooms will be double or quad occupancy, depending on availability. There are 3 bathrooms, one in each bedroom and one in the kitchen/living area. Fully furnitured with laundry onsite. Housing is less than 5 miles from worksite.
Rent: $260 per 2 weeks deducted from paycheck every 2 weeks. Deposit: $200 upon arrival deducted from paycheck and $75 cleaning fee. Security deposit and cleaning fee is fully refundable if housing is left in condition it was given. Deposits are returned after participant has moved out and Housing Manager has inspected the room.
J1 employees are responsible for cleaning their rooms throughout their stay, purchasing their own cleaning supplies, and for not damaging anything in the room.

Social security: No. The nearest SSN office is in 10138 S Jordan Gateway, South Jordan, UT 84095. Employer will pay participants prior to receiving their social security number.
